Inventive problem solving to be topic at meeting
CHAMPION — The American Society for Quality will meet March 9 at Kent State University, Trumbull campus.
A pre-technical session on conducting measurement-system analysis will be at 5 p.m. with a light meal to follow. The cost is $8.
The main speaker will be Don Coates, a professor at Kent State. He will speak on the “Theory of Inventive Problem Solving.” Reservations should be made with Marie DaBelko at (330) 675-8811.
Entrepreneurs are offered developmental training
YOUNGSTOWN — Women and minority business entrepreneurs are invited to register for free developmental training sessions to be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon March 12 at Youngstown State University’s Kilcawley Center.
The Business Not As Usual: 2nd Annual Minority & Female Business Conference also will provide face-to-face meetings with representatives of governments, banks, companies and universities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This event is being provided by the Regional Chamber in collaboration with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Ohio Department of Development, Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership, the city of Youngstown and YSU.
