Taste treat planned by Junior Women

AUSTINTOWN — Austintown Junior Women’s League is sponsoring a “Taste of Austintown” as a fundraiser for community service projects March 21 at the Regency House, where doors will open at 6 p.m.

From 6:30 to 8:30, more than 15 local restaurants will be serving their signature dishes. Awards will be announced at 9:30, and dancing will be until 11 to the music of Electric Elegance. Rounding out the festivities will be a 50-50 raffle, a Chinese auction and a silent auction.

Last year’s event provided funds for landscaping at the entrance to Austintown Community Park, for remodeling of a visitation room for Mahoning County Children Services and for scholarships for Fitch High School graduates.
