Ray says she hopes to “blow the doors off Austin again.”
Schwarzenegger in Stallone’s new film
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Art will imitate life when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger spends a few hours playing himself later this year in a movie by Sylvester Stallone.
Stallone’s publicist, Sheryl Main, revealed more details Tuesday of Schwarzenegger’s rare big-screen appearance. The governor said he has done just three cameos for friends since becoming governor in 2003.
Shooting on the film, “The Expendables,” will begin March 28 in Brazil and move to New Orleans for two months. Main says the governor will shoot his scene in Los Angeles.
His role will be a familiar one: California governor.
’Spider-Man’ prepares to conquer Broadway
NEW YORK — Spider-Man has conquered the movies. Now it’s Broadway’s turn.
“Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark” will open Feb. 18, 2010, at the Hilton Theatre. Preview performances begin Jan. 16.
Producers say the musical, directed by Julie Taymor, will feature a score by Bono and The Edge. Taymor, the creative force behind Disney’s long-running “Lion King,” will co-write the book with Glen Berger.
The story was inspired by the Marvel comic books hero and will include the story of his origins as well as new material.
“Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark” is produced by Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle, Martin McCallum, Marvel Entertainment/David Maisel, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Jeremiah Harris.

Keoghan said he’s cycling cross-country to encourage people to pursue a healthy life. He also intends to spotlight the battle against multiple sclerosis, a cause he’s supported for several years.
Keoghan will set off from Los Angeles on March 28 and end in New York on May 9 — the day before the “Amazing Race” season finale airs on CBS, the network said Wednesday.
He plans to average 100 miles a day and said he hopes people will join in as he passes through their area.
