VIRGINIA BEACH — Selena M. Venable and Kenny Davis were married at 1:30 p.m. March 21 at the South Beach Apartment Complex, where a reception followed the ceremony. Commissioner Harold H. McGee officiated.

The couple postponed their wedding trip to Pennsylvania until September and live at 4136 O’Hare Drive.

The bride, formerly of Youngstown, is a daughter of JoAn Scott, 6312 Maplewood Drive, Mayfield Heights, and the late Russell Venable Jr. The groom, a son of the late Constance E. Davis and Danny Staples, who had lived in Pennsylvania, is formerly of Welch, W.Va.

The bride’s white satin and lace gown was enhanced with beads, pearls and sequins and featured lace cap sleeves.

The bride’s sister-in-law, Sherlyn Logan of Virginia Beach, was the honor attendant. She wore a robin’s egg blue gown.

The duties of best man were performed by the bride’s brother, William Logan of Virginia Beach. Guests were ushered by the bride’s cousin, Christopher Parkman of Virginia Beach.

The bride, formerly of Youngstown, is a state-certified nursing assistant.

The groom attended the Philadelphia School of Landscaping in Pennsylvania. Both are employed at Car-Spa, where she is a store manager and he is a quality control supervisor.
