• Leetonia Artisans Festival is accepting applications for food and craft vendors to set up for a one-day show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 20 at Leetonia Wick Park. FLEA MARKETS

• The parking lot at Crest Lanes, 3390 Youngstown Road S.E., Warren, will be the setting for a flea market from 9 am. to 3 p.m. July 12. A bake sale is planned, and the bowling alley snack bar will be open. Anyone interested in participating can rent a 20x20-foot parking space for $10. • Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, is sponsoring a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 25. Vendors can rent a table for $10 by calling the rectory, (330) 755-1086.

• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

fundraisers

• The Butler County American Legion Riders will have their annual Bikers for Vets motorcycle ride July 18 (rain date July 19). Interested riders can register at the front entrance of the Butler VA Medical Center, 325 New Castle Road, Butler, Pa., from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Everyone will depart promptly at 11:15. Each participant will receive directions for the ride, which will be approximately 100 miles with checkpoints. The ride will end at the Lyndora American Legion Picnic Grove. There will be lots of fun, prizes, a Chinese auction, games, food and music. Donations from riders and passengers will go to help the veterans in Butler County. Participants are asked to wear red, white and blue in support of veterans.

SPECIAL EVENTS

• The 27th annual 4th of July Guilford Lake Boat Parade will be on Saturday. The theme for the event will be “Guilford Lake Heritage and Ohio, The Frontier.” All boats must be preregistered and insured, and liability release forms must be signed. Participants can register until Friday at Guilford Lake Grille at Mark’s Landing or at the park office. Prizes will be awarded at a hot dog roast for participants at noon July 11. • The 6th annual Relay for Life Poker Run is scheduled for July 12 at the Power House Bar & Grill, 999 Mahoning Ave., Warren. Sign-ups begin at 11 a.m. Bikes will leave at noon and return by 5 p.m., rain or shine. The cost is $10 per person, which includes a meal. There will be a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle, door prizes and a bike contest. Preregistration is July 6 at the Power House from 6-9 p.m.

• Red Door Quilt Guild will have a quilt show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12 at the Meadville Area Recreation Complex, 800 Thurston Road, Meadville, Pa. Admission is $3. TRIPS

• The Greater Youngstown Point Inc. is sponsoring a fund-raising trip July 18 to Seneca Niagara Casino, 310 4th St., Niagara Falls, N.Y. The cost is $40, which includes $15 in casino money and $5 for food, and all proceeds will be used to help local homeless people. The Point will provide a sack lunch on the bus. The bus will depart at 7 a.m. from 3630 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, (the parking lot behind McDonald’s) and will leave Seneca Niagara at 8 p.m. to arrive in Youngstown at midnight. The Point is a homeless daytime drop-in center and homeless-services provider that advocates for homeless and low-income people while seeking solutions to their plight. • The Sutliff Museum will offer a one-day bus tour to four William McKinley sites in Canton on July 23. The First Ladies Gowns Exhibit will be a highlight of the tour for many travelers, but seeing the elegant Victorian home where McKinley and his wife lived during his term in Congress will be as intriguing for others. The McKinley Museum with its "Street of Shops" will be a highlight of the museum tour, and the monument and tomb of this Ohio president will provide a solemn reminder of the man, who was born in Niles. The cost is $42 per person and includes transportation, driver's tip, admissions, tour guides, snacks and bottled water on the bus. Lunch will be on your own at Bender’s Restaurant. The motorcoach will be ready for boarding in the parking lot of the new Wal-Mart on Elm Road in Warren at 8 a.m. July 23 and will depart at 8:30.
