The son of Joseph and Deborah Kane of Boardman, he enlisted in the Ohio Air National Guard two months after graduation and has been a member of the Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes. He served in Swanton, 0hio, as part of the 180th Air National Guard for nine years.

A horn player, Kane went through the Boardman High band and orchestra programs.

He is a 2005 graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and is a manager for Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Stephen City, Va.

Kane is touring with U.S. Air Force Band of Flight because the Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes is splitting up for the summer. Some members, such as Kane, will tour with the Band of Flight, while others will be sent to Texas or deployed to Iraq to entertain troops.
