3 teenagers injured
BEAVER, Pa. — Three teen- agers were hurt, one critically, in a car accident in Beaver County.
Melanie M. Huffman, 18, of New Waterford, Ohio, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center after the accident at 7:45 p.m. Saturday on State Route 51 at Taggart Road in Darlington Township, said Pennsylvania State Police.
Huffman remained in critical condition there Sunday evening, a hospital spokesperson said.
Huffman was a passenger in a car driven by Nicholas J. Kennedy, 19, of East Palestine. Police said he also was injured but did not indicate whether he was taken to a hospital.
Police said Kennedy turned into the path of another car driven by Steven Reinhart, 19, of Freedom, Pa. Reinhart was not injured, but his passenger, Michael J. Javens, 19, of New Brighton, Pa., suffered minor injuries, police said.
