Lopresta 50th is celebrated at Niagara Falls

POLAND — Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Lopresta Jr., 820 Southwestern Run, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 11-14 during a weekend trip to Niagara Falls, Ontario, where they had spent their honeymoon following their June 13, 1959, wedding at Immaculate Conception Church, Youngstown.

They were accompanied by their three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Joe Sylvester, Kim Lopresta, and Chrissy and Mike Morris, all of Boardman, who gave them the trip as an anniversary gift. Their six grandchildren were also in attendance.

Tommy and Kelly Lopresta, their son and daughter-in-law, reside in Campbell.

A highlight of the celebration was a dinner in the private dining room of the Watermark Restaurant in the Hilton Fallsview Hotel.

Mr. Lopresta retired in 1976 as vice president of Hollander Food Service in Youngstown.

Mrs. Lopresta, the former Elaine DeCarlo, and her husband are members of St. Paul the Apostle Church.
