Canine Crusaders sale

YOUNGSTOWN — Canine Crusaders will have a Trunk & Treasure Sale from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. July 18 in the Croatian Home parking lot, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, off Meridian near I-680. Admission is free.

Vendors are needed. Sellers keep the money earned from their sales. Spaces are one for $20, or 2 for $35. Reserve a space by July 8. Contact crusaderevent@aol.com.

Early bird admission is a $2 donation from 9-10 a.m. and is free with a donation of a new or gently used collar, leash or blanket; unopened dog food, dog treats or paper towels.

Sons of Italy election

COLUMBUS — The Sons of Italy Grand Lodge of Ohio met for its 49th biennial state convention June 12 and 13 at the Hilton at Easton in Columbus.

Three members of local lodges were elected to the Insurance Commission. Timothy Komara, president of Youngstown Lodge 858, recording secretary; Cataldo (Chuck) Burrelli, recording secretary of the lodge, financial secretary; and Candra Stablein of Roma Intangible Lodge 806, trustee. Their terms will be June 2009-2001.
