VALE, N.C. — Angela Paige Bess and Dennis Michael Milne exchanged wedding vows June 27 at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dale Pederson officiated over the 5 p.m. ceremony.

A reception followed at the Catawba Country Club in Hickory, N.C.

The bride is a daughter of Thomas and Karen Bess of Fallston, N.C. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree and earned a master’s degree, both in music education, from East Carolina University, and received national board certification. She is employed as the band director at Crest High School in Shelby, N.C.

The groom is the son of Robert and Linda Milne of Austintown. He earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary education at Youngstown State University. He is a teacher at Crest High School while pursuing national board certification and a master’s degree in history.

The bride’s sister, Dr. Wyndee Tarter of Kernersville, N.C., was matron of honor, and serving as bridesmaids were Ana Bulluck of Greenville, N.C., Jaimee Ingram of Fallston, N.C., and Kiley Theil of Charlotte, N.C.

Serving as groomsmen were John R. Milne of Washington, Pa.; and David B. Milne of Austintown, the groom’s brothers, and David J. Milne and Bradley Milne, the groom’s nephews, both of Austintown.

After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside n Shelby.
