Sessions in the area

Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its reservation deadline. Send the information to the Religion Desk by e-mail to religion@vindy.com; by fax to (330) 747-6712 and marked for religion desk; or by mail to The Vindicator, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, Ohio, 44501-0780. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.

Who: Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

What: Free summer camp and Bible school, “Son Rock” for 6- to 12-year-olds.

When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 13-16.

Where: Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown.

Details: Sessions will include crafts, sports, music, games and Bible stories. Special events will include a picnic at Boardman Township Park and evening cookout with campers and their families. A gospel clown will entertain. Registration deadline is July 6. Call the church office at (330) 788-8707.

Who: Phillips Chapel Church of God in Christ.

What: Program with the theme, “Jesus Chronicles: A Life Changing Encounter.”

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Where: Church, 3903 Jacobs Road S.E., Hubbard.

Details: The free program for 5- to 17-year-olds will include arts and crafts and field trips. Call the church at (330) 534-2496.

Who: Zion Hill Baptist Church.

What: Program with the theme, “On The Move: God’s Grace From Place to Place.”

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 6-10.

Where: Church, 220 Jefferson St., Youngstown.

Details: The program is open to participants from 3 to 18 years old. There will Bible teachings, crafts, games and refreshments. Call the church at (330) 746-3832.
