Famous poster of Farah Fawcett was created in Medina, Ohio

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (AP) — Farrah Fawcett is being remembered by an Ohio man who helped turn the actress into a pinup.

Mike Trikilis of Cuyahoga Falls and his brother created the poster of Fawcett in a red swimsuit that sold in the millions and became a fixture in teenage boys’ bedrooms during the 1970s.

Fawcett died Thursday at age 62 after a cancer battle.

Trikilis says when he first heard her name, he didn’t know who she was.

His brother, Ted, convinced him that she could mean big things for their poster company, Pro Arts, in Medina.

Ted has since died.

A photographer took three pictures of Fawcett in California, and the brothers picked their favorite.

Trikilis says the poster became so hot they had to run their four-color press up to 20 hours a day.
