Parents announce date for Finnerty, McDonnell rite

Kevin and Mary Jo Finnerty, 2724 Spitler Road, Poland, and David and Mary Beth McDonnell, 35 Healy Terrace, Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland, are announcing the engagement of their children, Julie Finnerty, also of 2724 Spitler Road, and Rory McDonnell, 116 S. Cadillac Drive, Boardman.

The bride elect is employed by JP Morgan Chase in Youngstown.

The prospective groom is an engineer with The Taylor Winfield Corp. in Brookfield. He graduated from the National University of Ireland in Galway with a bachelor’s degree, and from the University of Limerick in Ireland with a post-graduate degree in engineering.

Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown has been chosen by the couple for their 1 p.m. Oct. 17 wedding. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and for an evening reception at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.
