Jazz festival to feature region’s best combos


BERLIN CENTER — Mastropietro Winery’s second annual jazz festival Sunday will feature five of the region’s best combos. It will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday and run until 10 p.m. at the winery grounds, which include a pond, gazebo and a pavilion, as well as the main building, located at 14558 Ellsworth Road.

Fine-food prepared by Fifth Season Restaurant of Austintown will be available, and artisans will showcase their work.

Advance tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling the winery at (330) 547-2151. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $25. All guests will receive a commemorative wine glass. Parking is free, and guests are invited to bring a lawn chair.

The music schedule is as follows:

U1-2:30 p.m.: Jack Schantz Quartet.

U2:45-4:15 p.m.: Janet Opritza & Co.

U4:30-6 p.m.: Frank Cunimondo Trio.

U6:15-8 p.m.: John Morton and Friends.

U8:15-10 p.m.: John Reese Project.
