Applications available for Cinderella Ball

YOUNGSTOWN — The Junior Civic League is accepting applications for its 54th Annual Cinderella Ball, to be Nov. 27. The theme this year is “An Intriguing Evening: Filling the Glass Slipper.”

The league is seeking minority students as debutantes for the evening. The applicant must be a senior during the 2009-2010 year, single, a nonparent, and have a grade-point average of at least 2.0.

Applications are available at www.juniorcivicleague.org. Each applicant must have a principal or guidance counselor verify her grade point average by signature. There is a nonrefundable application fee of $75, which includes debutante and escort fees.

If applying by mail, send the applications immediately to the attention of Susan Moorer, chair of the 2009 Cinderella Ball, Junior Civic League, P.O. Box 243, Youngstown OH 44501, or apply online. The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday.
