GIRARD
June 22
Assault: A man alleged the owner of a U.S. Route 422 business slammed him against a sport-utility vehicle. The accuser complained of minor back pain.
Arrest: A charge of falsification was pending against a Girard woman who police said provided her sister’s information during a possible shoplifting situation at a State Street business. The woman was not charged further.
Identity fraud: An East Liberty Street woman spoke with her bank and learned three unauthorized withdrawals totaling nearly $100 had been made from her account.
June 23
Breaking and entering: A lock had been pried off a garage door in the 1100 block of Church Hill Road. Stolen were an expandable ladder, a miter saw, a weed trimmer, a $2,000 riding lawn mower and other items.
Domestic violence: A Girard man was arrested after a situation at a Forsythe Avenue home in which a woman asked the man to leave and, police said, he pushed her against a wall.
Breaking and entering: A power washer and a dolly were missing after someone had entered a garage in the 100 block of East Second Street.
Criminal mischief: A man punched and broke a front window to an East Main Street residence.

Identity fraud: A Tod Avenue woman found out someone had used her personal information without consent.

June 19
Arrest: A Girard man, 24, was arrested on Tuttle Lane on charges of obstructing official business and possession of dangerous drugs when, authorities said, he led them on a foot pursuit and had four Vicodin tablets.
Aggravated menacing: A Monticello Boulevard woman said she overheard another woman making threats and found photographs with threatening messages.
Theft: A Girard man, 30, was charged in the theft of a 12-pack of soda and several packages of diapers from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.
Criminal damaging: A mercury light in the 3600 block of Staunton Avenue was damaged after having been shot with a BB or pellet gun.
June 20
Drugs: A traffic stop near Colonial Drive led to a 51-year-old Youngstown man’s being charged with possession of dangerous drugs. The man, who also was wanted on a probation-violation charge, had six muscle-relaxing pills, a report said.
Attempted robbery: An employee with Denny’s Restaurant, 4020 Belmont Ave., told police a man age 40 to 45 in a brown T-shirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and tan baseball cap lifted his shirt to reveal what appeared to be the handle of a firearm. The man demanded money but became impatient and fled, a report showed.
Theft: A 31-year-old Girard man faced a charge, accused of taking from Giant Eagle two cans of beer and three DVDs.
Assault: A Scott Lane man reported a woman pushed him twice in the chest.
Theft: A 47-year-old Youngstown man was charged in the theft of $60 worth of spare ribs from Giant Eagle.
June 22
Criminal trespassing: A 37-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at a Belmont Avenue gas station and charged. A worker asked him to leave several times after he had been drinking and causing a nuisance, police said.
Theft: Five boxes of lancets and a pregnancy-test kit were stolen from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave.
Arrest: The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Southington post handed a Youngstown man, 41, to township authorities. He was wanted on a warrant.
Arrest: A 36-year-old Girard man wanted on a warrant was turned over to Liberty police.
June 23
Theft: Officers responded to a woman screaming incessantly in the road near Belmont Avenue, then took her into custody. The 19-year-old Youngstown woman was wanted on a warrant.
Auto theft: A 1995 Ford vehicle was stolen in the 4500 block of Logan Way.
Menacing: A 21-year-old Girard man faced charges of menacing and criminal trespassing after officers responded to an altercation on Craig Lane. The man was warned to stay away, yet returned, threw soda cans at a trailer and yelled obscenities, a report said.
Assault: A Craig Lane woman told police someone had attacked her during a fight. She was found with a bloody face and hair, a report showed.

June 19
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Church Street.
Theft: Two diamond rings were removed from a home in the 800 block of Jerry Drive.
Theft: A cell phone was stolen in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.
Theft of services: Officers received a report of someone illegally dumping garbage in a trash bin belonging to an apartment complex in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.
June 21
Theft: The driver of a light-blue Pontiac Grand Am left Hubbard Gas & Mini Mart, 175 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, without paying for gasoline.

Criminal damaging: Someone tossed beer bottles and damaged a garage door at a North Main Street business.
Theft: Police arrested two females, no information given, accused of shoplifting at Dollar General, 886 W. Liberty St.
Domestic violence: A Hubbard man was taken into custody after his girlfriend alleged he had assaulted her. The accuser suffered a swollen and discolored eye.
June 23
Bad check: The Girard Municipal Court issued a warrant against a township woman accused of failing to appear on a summons for a charge of passing a bad check.
Disorderly conduct: A male was given a summons on a disorderly-conduct charge after someone walking on Christian Avenue had yelled obscenities at residents.
