FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


WEDNESDAY

• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana, has its kitchen open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Tonight is wing night from 6 to 9.

THURSDAY

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005. There is no dinner planned on July 3.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

• Sons of the American Legion, Mahoning Valley Squadron 15, Poland, will serve chicken dinners from 6 to 9 p.m. Meals include potato, coleslaw and bread. Beverages will be available. Tickets are $8 at the door or by calling (330) 565-5333.

SATURDAY

• Liberty Assembly of God, 6779 Belmont Ave., Liberty Township, will have a strawberry festival beginning at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $3.

• North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. The all-you-can-eat meal will feature eggs, pancakes, french toast, potatoes, sausage, breakfast rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, juice and coffee. • S.C.O.P.E. of Trumbull County, Warren Center, 220 W. Market St., Warren, will serve spaghetti dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. Meals include salad, bread and dessert. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children. In conjunction with the dinner, there will be an open house, and the Riverside Railroad Train Club will present a train run.

SUNDAY

• Sulgrave Lodge 696, F&AM, will have a spaghetti dinner with serving from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Western Star Masonic Temple, 8387 Tod Ave., Boardman. The cost for adults is $6, and for children, $3. Takeouts will be available.

TAKING ORDERS

• The First United Methodist Church, 3711 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge, will be selling homemade doughnuts the first Saturday of each month. To place orders before Friday, call (330) 652-9554. The choices are cinnamon sugar, plain cake, or powdered sugar. Someone will call you back to confirm your order.

UPCOMING

• Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305 at 534 in Southington, will have a chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. July 1. Meals include a quarter chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. The cost is $7.50. Chicken tenders meals for children 4 through 10 will be $4. Those 3 and under eat free. For carryouts, call the church at (330) 898-2156 and the meal will be ready for you to pick up.
