A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman and Poland townships:

BOARDMAN

June 19

Arrest: A township man, 18, faced charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business after police responded to a fight at a Moyer Avenue apartment. Found was a suspected marijuana pipe, they said.

Arrest: Authorities, with assistance from U.S. marshals, arrested a 38-year-old Boardman man wanted on warrants from the Pennsylvania State Police charging him with six counts of rape.

Theft/drugs: A Warren man, 21, was charged with theft, trafficking in marijuana, obstructing official business and identity fraud after officers responded to the theft of four candy bars from Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road. The man, who police said used someone else’s personal information, had four individually wrapped bags of suspected marijuana likely for sale, a report said.

Assault: A Shadyside Drive girl had redness to her left jaw after her mother told police the teen had been struck in the face.

Theft: Three Youngstown boys, two age 12 and one age 14, were apprehended near Oakridge Avenue and charged in the theft of three plastic pistols from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft: Fifteen items, including jewelry, were stolen from Wal-Mart.

Theft: A man in his 20s removed a Blackberry cell phone from Verizon Wireless in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A guest at a Tiffany Boulevard motel vacated a room without making payment.

Domestic violence: A 31-year-old Southern Boulevard man was charged after officers responded to an altercation, where a woman reported having been pushed, then punched in the back. She had soreness to the affected area.

Theft: A 20-year-old New Castle, Pa., woman was charged after jewelry and makeup were taken from Wal-Mart.

Burglary: A woman went to clean a Twin Oaks Court residence and discovered a break-in, though there were no signs of forced entry. Money, jewelry and a pillow case had been removed.

Theft: A 23-year-old city man was charged, accused of stealing $160 worth of clothing from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall. He also was wanted on three warrants.

Assault: A boy walking on South Avenue reported someone in a car tossed a fast-food cup, striking his hand and causing him to drop his cell phone. The boy was not hurt.

Criminal mischief: A woman found out someone had thrown three fireworks into a stairwell of her Boardman-Canfield Road business.

June 20

Auto theft: A 1997 Cadillac DeVille was stolen from a Hillman Way apartment.

Theft: Two pieces of jewelry were missing from a box at a Clifton Avenue home.

Theft: An $8,500 gold engagement ring was missing from a Locust Lane residence.

Theft: An employee with a Boardman-Canfield Road store noticed her paychecks were no longer being directly deposited into her account.

Aggravated menacing: A township woman told police a boy, 13, threatened over the phone to repeatedly sexually assault her teenage daughter.

Drugs: Police responded to a medical emergency at a Delaware Avenue home and discovered a terrarium with three suspected marijuana plants growing, as well as a suspected marijuana pipe and several bags of suspected marijuana. The man, who was taken to a local hospital for his injuries, admitted growing marijuana for medical purposes but denied selling it, a report showed.

June 21

Possible endangerment: A Glenwood Avenue woman told authorities she found on her porch two unattended 2-year-old neighbor children.

Domestic violence: A Youngstown man, 48, faced a felony charge after a township woman alleged he had struck her left ear and right side of her head during an argument. She suffered injuries.

Theft: A woman’s cell phone was stolen at a Boardman-Poland Road eatery.

June 22

Theft: Two 16-year-old Campbell girls were charged after $69 worth of clothing was stolen from Wal-Mart.

Criminal damaging: A $100 air-conditioning unit was damaged at a residence in the 4000 block of South Avenue.

Burglary: To a Forest Park Drive home. Stolen were an Xbox game system, 10 Xbox games and a $1,600 laptop computer.

Aggravated menacing: A White House Lane woman told police a man threatened to have someone beat up the accuser.

Aggravated menacing: A man delivering an eviction notice at a Willow Drive apartment reported the tenant threatened to shoot him in the head.

Assault: Officers answered a call about a fight in the 300 block of Boardman-Poland Road, where a boy said he had been punched in the face and blacked out.

Criminal damaging: A Southern Boulevard woman reported her boyfriend, during an argument, used a chair to smash her vehicle’s windshield and both side mirrors.

Arrest: A township man, 57, was charged with violating a protection order after police responded to a possible domestic situation.

Theft: A city woman, 23, was accused in the theft of 13 articles of clothing and costume jewelry from the J.C. Penney store.

Arrest: A traffic stop near Argyle Avenue resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old city man after police learned he was wanted by Youngstown authorities on charges of aggravated menacing and domestic violence.

Theft: A Glenwood Avenue woman accused a company of withdrawing $250 from her account without consent.

Theft: A Campbell girl and a Youngstown girl, both 16, faced charges. They were accused of stealing $107 worth of clothing from Wal-Mart.

POLAND

June 20

Trespassing: Police issued warnings to juveniles that a worker for the Aqua Ohio Water treatment plant, 7640 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, said had been on the property. The juveniles were released to the custody of a family member.
