Injured man at RR tracks

SALEM — A 50-year-old Hawley Avenue man was taken to Salem Community Hospital after being found injured and lying beside some railroad tracks.

Police said Sunday night that they did not have information on the extent of his injuries or how they occurred. A nursing supervisor at the hospital said she did not have any information on him either.

Police said an officer was driving over the West State Street overpass about 1 a.m. Sunday when a pedestrian flagged him down. A man was on the ground by the tracks and another person was nearby yelling for help.
