Glover wins U.S. Open

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Lucas Glover picked the absolutely perfect time for his first birdie of the final round of the U.S. Open.

Glover rolled in an 8-footer on the par-4 16th hole Monday afternoon, taking a two-shot lead over David Duval, Phil Mickelson and Ricky Barnes at Bethpage Black and didn't let go to win the season’s second major championship with a 4-under 276.
