‘Twilight’ star is OK

NEW YORK — Robert Pattinson, the 23-year-old actor of “Twilight” mega-fame, was clipped by a cab in Manhattan on Thursday while trying to evade a horde of “hysterical” female fans, according to Page Six of the New York Post.

A spokeswoman for Summit Entertainment, the production company behind “Twilight,” assured America’s tween-age girls that “Rob Pattinson is fine.” Moreover, in an attempt to exonerate the Kristen Stewart wannabes among us, she called reports of fan culpability “exaggerated.”

Brady bunch grows

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are expecting a baby, People magazine is reporting.

After weeks of rumors surrounding Gisele’s burgeoning bump, sources have confirmed that the supermodel is pregnant and “ecstatic.” This will be the first parenting experience for Bundchen and the first not-insanely-awkward one for Brady. (In 2007, ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynihan announced she was pregnant with Brady’s son — after he and Bundchen had already gotten together.)

The couple’s child is expected in early 2010.

‘West Wing,’ ‘Malcolm’ actors are divorcing

LOS ANGELES — After more than 16 years of marriage, actors Bradley Whitford and Jane Kaczmarek are divorcing.

Whitford’s publicist, Melissa Kates, says the “The West Wing” actor and “Malcolm in the Middle” actress are divorcing.

The couple were married in August 1992 and have three children.

Kaczmarek stars as a judge on TNT’s “Raising the Bar.”

Whitford starred in a Broadway revival of “Boeing-Boeing” last year.

Quaids settle with hospital over overdose claim

LOS ANGELES — Documents show actor Dennis Quaid and his wife have agreed to a $500,000 settlement with a hospital that sickened his newborn twins with an overdose of blood thinner.

A petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in May shows the settlement will be divided evenly between the twins, Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has also agreed to provide free medical care for any issues arising from the Heparin overdose in November 2007.

The drug can be fatal to infants, but the Quaids and the hospital aren’t aware of any lingering health issues with the twins.

A hospital spokeswoman says she did not have any information beyond what’s in the public record.
