Turocy’s 4 hits lead Falcons to win, 4-1


STRUTHERS — Jarod Turocy had four hits, including a triple and two doubles to lead Astro Falcons to a 4-1 victory over OTN Performance in Cass B action Saturday at Cene Park.

Tyler Royer allowed four hits in a complete game for Astro (14-6).

Royer (2-0) struck out six and walked two while allowing no earned runs. Philip Woods drove home a pair of runs for the Astros (14-6). Evan Bollinger had a pair of singles for OTN (11-9).

1080 Media 12, Livi Steel 4

Anthony Raschilla had three hits as did Dan Popio for 1080 Media (16-4).

Raschilla added five RBIs while Evan Campbell, Joe Aulizia, and winning pitcher Chris Gradoski had two hits each. Taylor Callahan had three hits, Nick Harper, Steve Wilaj, and Eric Buehrle two each for Livi Steel (4-16).

Wharmby Sports 12, Youngstown Express 4

Evan Anzio had a pair of doubles and added a single for Wharmby (15-5).

Anzio added three RBIs while Tony Koch and Jim Dobran had two hits each with Dobran also driving home three, and Koch two.

Matt Tyson (2-3) went five innings for the win striking out four with Dom DeFelice getting out all six men he faced for the save. Jon DeAmicis had two hits for the Express (4-16).

Dave Sugar Excavating 12, Action Physical Therapy 3

Jordan Izzo had four hits, including a triple and a double and Dave Sugar Excavating moved into sole possession of sixth place and the final playoff spot.

Chris Kirkwood had three hits, and Travis Richie two for Sugar (9-11). Dan Calai went the first four innings for the win, allowing three unearned runs.

Vince Falconi, Matt Corner, and Mike Hartman had two hits each for Action (3-17).

Rondinelli Tuxedo 12, Roth Brothers 0

Phil Lipari had three hits and Jason Bagoly drove home three runs for Rondinelli (16-4).

Bagoly, Jaymee Shepard, and winning pitcher Drew Fitzpatrick had two hits each for Rondinelli (16-4). Fitzpatrick had one strikeout in winning for the fourth time. Jonathan Rhoads (2-2) suffered the loss for Roth (8-12).

Late Friday Rondinelli Tuxedo 12, Dave Sugar Excavating 11

Chris Leiby drove home the winning run with a one-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning for Rondinelli.

Jason Bagoly had two doubles, two singles, and drove home five runs for Rondinelli, while Ed Reese and Jaymee Shepard added two hits each.

Drew Fitzpatrick (3-0) got the win in relief. Joey Borrelli and Jordan Izzo had two hits each while John Sansone drove home four runs for Dave Sugar. Borrelli suffered the loss in relief. Only seven of the game’s runs were earned.

Wharmby Sports 8, Livi Steel 1

NILES — David Saluga hit a three-run home run in the top of the first inning to lift Wharmby (14-5) at Wilder Field in Niles.

Dom Lapolla added a two-run homer for Wharmby (14-5). Ryan Ward went the first four innings for his third win. Steve Wilaj and Ralph Testa had hits for Livi Steel (4-15).
