WARREN — Marcus Yager, who referred to himself as “Little Montana” on his MySpace page in reference to a mobster from the movie “Scarface,” has pleaded guilty to two felony charges in the killing of 11-year-old Lloyd McCoy Jr. and 26-year-old Marvin Chaney.

Yager, 22, of Vine Avenue Northeast, pleaded guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to complicity to involuntary manslaughter and obstruction of justice.

Yager is expected to testify against two co-defendants in the case, said Chris Becker, an assistant Trumbull County prosecutor.

Yager originally was charged with two counts of complicity to murder, which would have carried with them terms of 15 years to life in prison if he had been convicted.

The two charges he pleaded to Wednesday carry with them a possible jail sentence of up to six years in prison, but Becker said he will recommend that Yager get between one and five years in prison, depending on his cooperation in the other cases.

Eugene “Mike” Henderson, 25, and Eugene Cumberbatch, 26, both of Warren, are charged with aggravated murder in the case. Further criminal proceedings against Henderson and Cumberbatch are pending a decision by a Trumbull County grand jury on whether to indict them.

During a preliminary hearing in Warren Municipal Court in May, Warren detective Wayne Mackey testified that Yager gave a videotaped interview to police April 22 in which he detailed the events of the April 13 shooting.

Yager said he was on the floor of the car when it stopped in front of a house on Wick Street Southeast, and Henderson and Cumberbatch got out and fired a high-powered rifle and a handgun.

Yager is believed to have supplied the handgun to Cumberbatch, Becker said.

Chaney died immediately from the gunfire, and Lloyd died in the hospital eight days later. A 3-year-old also suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder but recovered.
