MUSICIANS

Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra. Auditions are ongoing for section strings (violin, viola, cello), substitute brass and percussion for the 2008-09 season. Rehearsals are 7:30-10 Thursdays at the Tri-C’s Metropolitan Campus Auditorium in downtown Cleveland. Audition requirements are one solo piece and one orchestral excerpt of your choice. Krakowiaki Polish Folk Circle. Seeking local musicians and vocalists interested in performing with the group’s Village Folk Band. Open house 6-8 p.m. Thursday at St. Casmir Catholic Church, 149 Jefferson St., Youngstown. Instrumentalists of cimbalom, violin, string bass, viola, clarinet, concertina and accordion.
