WEDNESDAY
• The kitchen at American Legion Post 290 in Columbiana is open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features daily specials. Tonight is wing night, from 6-9 p.m. On Friday, a fish fry will take place from 4-7 p.m., all you can eat for $10, and $4 for children 12 and under.
THURSDAY
• Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will have takeout dinners of meatloaf, scalloped potatoes and green beans available from 4 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6 each. For additional information contact Janet McConnell at (330) 629-7125.
FRIDAY
• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.
SATURDAY
• Deerfield American Legion, 1517 state Route 14, will serve breakfast to the public from 8 to 11 a.m. at the post home. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children, and the menu consists of pancakes, sausage, eggs, sausage gravy over biscuits and a beverage. Proceeds will benefit the American Legion scholarship fund.
• St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will have a southern-style pulled pork dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include homemade barbecue sauce, baked beans, coleslaw, corn bread, dessert and beverage. Tickets for eat-in or carryout meals are $10 and available at the church office, (330) 758-2727.
SUNDAY
• Hartford Fire Association and Burghill-Vernon Fire Department will have a pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the VFW Hall, Hartford Five Points Road, Hartford Township. Meals include french toast, sausage gravy over biscuits, eggs, sausage, milk, orange juice, coffee and tea. The cost is $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, and $4 for children 5 to 12. Those under 5 eat free. Carryouts will be available.
• Poland Masonic Temple, 7685 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Poland, will serve rib eye steak dinners from noon to 4 p.m. for Father’s Day. Meals will include an appetizer, baked potato, green beans, salad, rolls, dessert and beverage. The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12, and free for those 5 and under.
