Unemployment: 94th. The jobless rate increased six percentage points in the year that ended with the first quarter 2009.

Gross metropolitan product: 98th. The value of goods and services produced locally declined 7.1 percent from its peak to the first quarter 2009.

Housing prices: 33rd. Housing prices increased 0.4 percent in the year that ended with the first quarter of 2009.
