A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:

GIRARD

June 14

Robbery: Officers received a call from Forum Health Northside Medical Center regarding a man who said two males had jumped him near a Girard bank’s automated-teller machine and stole $125.

Criminal mischief: Someone detonated fireworks in a portable toilet at a stadium off Elruth Drive, apparently in an effort to set it on fire.

Aggravated menacing: An East Liberty Street woman alleged her estranged husband made six calls, implying on a few that he might kill or harm her and their children.

Identity fraud: A Girard man suspected a relative of using the accuser’s medical card to fill two prescriptions without consent.

June 15

Aggravated menacing: A Girard woman told police her former boyfriend threatened to blow up her car, then appeared at her home with a baseball bat.

Theft: A city woman was charged in the theft of two pork loins from Santisi’s IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St.

June 16

Criminal trespassing: A charge was pending against a Girard man after someone was pounding on a door to a residence in the 200 block of East Wilson Avenue. He had been told to stay off the property, a report said.

LIBERTY

June 13

Vandalism: Someone damaged a wall board in the 10 block of Holly Drive.

Bad check: A Girard woman passed a $61 bad check at a West Liberty Street restaurant.

Arrest: A 38-year-old Youngstown woman wanted on two felony warrants was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Belmont Avenue.

Bad checks: Two Farrell, Pa., women were suspected of having written two bad checks totaling $2,633 for merchandise at Alltel Wireless, 4686 Belmont Ave.

Criminal damaging: A car’s passenger-side window was destroyed in the 3200 block of Hadley Road, resulting in a $400 estimate.

Theft/criminal damaging: Someone broke a vehicle’s window in the 3000 block of North Gate Road before removing a purse.

Theft: A global-positioning system device and a power-supply unit were taken from a car in the 100 block of Goldie Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s driver’s-side window was shattered and its steering column damaged in the 100 block of East Montrose Street.

June 14

Arrest: A Youngstown man, 24, faced charges of kidnapping, assault, aggravated menacing, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct after authorities got a report of someone dragging a Belmont Avenue restaurant employee by the hair and forcing her into a vehicle. Several witnesses said the man had chased the worker through the store, and he threatened to kill officers, a report said.

Weapon: A traffic stop on state Route 193 led to a 20-year-old Youngstown man’s being charged with carrying a concealed weapon, being a convicted felon with a firearm and tampering with evidence. A .38-caliber revolver with six rounds as well as three additional bullets were found, police said.

Criminal damaging: A Liberty Avenue man, 39, faced criminal-damaging and disorderly-conduct charges after police responded to an intoxicated person. Two holes had been punched into a wall, and the man screamed profanities, a report showed.

Drugs: Officers answered a disturbance call in the 1300 block of East Montrose Street and made two arrests after stopping a vehicle nearby. A Vienna woman and a Youngstown woman, both 19, were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of dangerous drugs, respectively.

June 15

Burglary: To a residence in the 10 block of Scott Lane. Stolen were a paintball gun and a wireless computer router.

Drugs: A Vienna man, 34, was charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments and criminal trespassing after employees of a Belmont Avenue fast-food restaurant reported someone was passed out in a restroom. A hypodermic needle, two torn bags and packaged needles were found, officers said.

Burglary: To a Warner Road home, where two laptop computers and a 42-inch flat-screen TV were taken.

Robbery: An employee walking home from a Belmont Avenue business told police three men in their late teens to mid-20s grabbed her arm and purse in the parking lot, stole about $124 and fled on foot.

Arrests: A car was pulled over on Belmont Avenue for speeding, where two Warren men, 34 and 36, were arrested. One was wanted on seven warrants, the other on a probation-violation charge.

HUBBARD

June 12

Assault: A Hubbard man reported having been punched while in the 900 block of North Main Street.

Drugs: In unrelated cases, the Girard Municipal Court issued warrants against two township men. Charges were possession of heroin, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Assault: A woman reported two boys assaulted her 11-year-old son on Mock Street.

June 14

Vandalism: Someone pulled out plants and tomato stakes from a garden in the 20 block of Roosevelt Drive.

Arrest: A Hubbard woman was arrested during a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Liberty Street. She was wanted on a warrant from Campbell.

June 15

Recovered property: A bicycle was returned to a township boy after it had been stolen.

Vandalism: A boy in a red shirt was seen kicking in a door to an abandoned home in the 20 block of First Street.

Theft: A hubcap was stolen off a vehicle in the 200 block of Hager Street.

Burglary: To a Hillview Drive apartment. A 50-inch plasma TV was removed.
