Youngstown Park Department’s free summer camp begins Wednesday

YOUNGSTOWN — The city’s Park and Recreation Department’s free summer camp begins Wednesday at seven parks — Fosterville, Homestead and Lynn on the South Side; Crandall and Wick on the North Side; MVSD on the West Side; and John White on the East Side.

Camp is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes field trips, free breakfast and lunch, arts and crafts, sports and a “character building” program.

The camp is for kids between the ages of 5 and 15.

Kids can be registered at the park sites or at the park office on the first floor of city hall, 26 S. Phelps St.
