Youngstown police investigating South Side shooting

YOUNGSTOWN — Police said an Idora Avenue man was shot as he walked across the street in the 500 block of Evergreen Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Sunday.

James A. Jones, 24, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he was listed today in critical condition.

Police said he told investigating officers that he didn’t know who shot him.
