YOUNGSTOWN — A casino-style fundraiser will be staged at the Youngstown Playhouse, 600 Playhouse Lane, on June 20.
Tickets are $5 for the event, which begins at 6 p.m. Guests will be able to try their luck at gaming tables in the lobby and Moyer Room.
There will be roulette, craps, blackjack and poker, along with Chinese and silent auctions for such items as a flat-screen TV, jewelry, artwork, restaurant and spa packages, a gift certificate to Camp Fitch and an Ohio State University purse signed by Jim Tressel.
There will also be live music and a cash bar, and costumed servers will offer hors d’oeuvres.
At the 7:30 p.m. post time, the first of 10 video horses races will begin.
Patrons will be able to purchase rights to name one or more of the 100 horses participating in the video races for $25. Naming rights can be purchased from Cherie Stebner on gaming night.
As an added bonus to those interested in placing an ad in the program, the ad will also appear in the programs at two summer shows to be presented at the Playhouse, “Barefoot in the Park” and “Blues in the Night,” for no additional charge.
Anyone interested in serving as a volunteer at the casino-night event is asked to contact Susi Thompson at the Playhouse. For additional information on purchasing an ad, naming a horse or buying tickets, call the Playhouse at (330) 788-8739.
