Federation function was rewarding event

REWARDING EVENT: Youngstown Area Federation of Women’s Clubs sponsored its annual scholarship and community awards luncheon May 20 at Youngstown Country Club.

A highlight of the event was the presentation of scholarships, awards and the recognition of outstanding members. Sharing the rewarding moment are, from left, Kathleen Rickert, award chairman; Aletha Bowden, who was honored as YAFWC Member of the Year; Mahoning County Juvenile Court Judge Theresa Dellick, recipient of the Community Service Award for her commitment to justice and concern for youth; Jessica Cartwright, a junior in the school of nursing at Youngstown State University and recipient of the YAFWC Scholarship Award; and Valorie Zurawick, scholarship committee chairman.
