Governor touts internships during Warren visit


WARREN — Gov. Ted Strickland took a walk through Ajax Tocco Magnethermic’s Overland Avenue plant today and liked what he saw.

“This is a perfect example of what we’d like to see happen,” Strickland said moments after being introduced to Brian Jacobs of Leetonia, a three-year Ajax employee who got acquainted with the company while working there as an electrical engineering intern from Youngstown State University.

Linking education to jobs, particularly high tech jobs, was the purpose of the governor’s stop.
