Six Valley police agencies get Ohio grant money


Drug Use Prevention Grants

Six Mahoning Valley police departments are among 80 Ohio law enforcement agencies to share in $2.2 million in special drug use prevention grant money. The grants, announced by Attorney General Richard Cordray, will help pay the salaries of Drug Abuse Resistance Education officers, school resource officers and others who perform drug use prevention work. The grants and amounts:

Austintown, $29,525

Boardman, $52,946

Girard, $7,487

New Middletown, $6,687

Springfield, $5,624

Warren, $39,550
