Celtic Woman, who has swiped Riverdance’s record for most appearances on PBS fund-raiser shows, brings its Isle of Hope tour to The Arena Formerly Known as Chevrolet at 8 p.m. Friday. The Covelli Centre in downtown Youngstown will be in the intimate half-house formation. Check Ticketmaster.

Youngstown’s Total Package Band used to be regulars at the Grist Mill. But it’s been a good two years since the dance band played the nightclub in Wedgewood Plaza, Austintown. So long, in fact, that they were just The Total Package Band back then. The drought ends Friday, when YTP returns to the Mill at 9 p.m. For more information, go to jamminjohnsonproductions.com.

Were you unable to secure tickets to the sold-out Billy Joel-Elton John concert at the Q a couple weeks ago? Well, this might be very small consolation, but you can see 52nd Street and Captain Fantastic together at the Warren Community Amphitheatre Saturday. Those would be Billy Joel and Elton John tribute bands, respectively. At least it’s free. Also on the bill is Broken Road, a Rascal Flatts tribute band. The show starts at 5 p.m. The venue is off Mahoning Avenue in downtown Warren.
Rock the Block kicks off the summer season with four national acts — Halestorm, The Veer Union, Since October and Burn Halo — and a bunch more local ones in a festival setting. The rock bash begins at 3 p.m. on West Federal Street, between Phelps Street and Wick Avenue, in downtown Youngstown. Admission is $5.
jChip Richter and the Munks bring their kid-friendly act to Columbiana’s beautiful Firestone Park Gazebo for a free concert from 2 to 4 p.m. Go to chiprichter.com for more information, or call (330) 482-3822. Bring a blanket or a lawnchair. Probably some of those boxed fruit-juice drinks would be a good idea, too.
