Mudvayne will bring metal tour to Covelli

YOUNGSTOWN — Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 19 for the Pedal to the Metal Tour, which comes to the Covelli Centre on July 29.

The concert will feature Mudvayne and Black Label Society, with Static-X, Suicide Silence, Dope and Bury Your Dead and the Hellzapoppin sideshow revue. It will be inside the building.

All tickets are $35 and will be available at the arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at (866) 448-7849.

“The tour started as a summer tour with us and Black Label Society, but as we started fleshing out ideas, it transformed into this really cool concept,” said Mudvayne frontman Chad Gray.

The final result is the inaugural run of the Pedal to the Metal Tour, an assemblage of hard rock and heavy-metal bands.

The tour begins July 24 in Portland, Maine, and ends in September, hitting more than three dozen cities.
