Youngstown Express gets first win of season
STRUTHERS — The Youngstown Express used a five-run fourth inning to come from behind and get their first win on the season, defeating Livi Steel 8-6 in Class B action on Monday at Cene Park..
Anthony Mott had two hits and drove home three runs, while Mike Rohan added two hits for the Express (1-10). Zachary Altmyer tossed a complete game, allowing three earned runs with three strikeouts for the win, his first in three decisions.
Zack McGhee had a triple and a single for Livi Steel (3-9).
Rondinelli Tuxedo 4, OTN Performance 3
Phil Lipari walked and scored on a three-base error on a sacrifice bunt by winning pitcher Drew Fitzpatrick in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Rondinelli (9-2).
Kyle Vaclav had a triple for Rondinelli while Gary Revale had a pair of hits for OTN (7-4).
Roth Brothers 8, Dave Sugar Excavating 5
Brock McGivern had two hits while Damian Shearer went the first 4 2/3 innings for his second win on the season to lift Roth Brothers (7-5), which built an 8-0 lead.
Jordan Izzo had a home run, and two doubles, while Joey Fontana added a triple and scored twice for Dave Sugar (5-6).

1080 scored 10 times in the first inning to take control.
Evan Campbell had an inside-the-park home run and three RBIs with Matt Shelton driving home four runs for 1080 Media (8-3).
Nick Timko (2-1) went four innings for the win. He allowed no earned runs and had six strikeouts. Dom Neely had two singles, and Mike Riffe a double for Action (1-10)
Wharmby Sports 4, Astro Falcons 3
Evan Anzio’s one-out hit in the bottom of the seventh drove home the tying and winning runs for Wharmby.
Jim Dobran had a single and a double for Wharmby (8-3), while Josh Foster went the distance for his third straight win on the mound. Foster had six strikeouts.
Jared Turocy had a double and a single while Kyle Allen had two hits for the Astros (6-4). Jake Dando went the first five innings and had five strikeouts.
Warren AA Champion Marlins 6, Leon’s Brewers 1
Tom Popadak, one of last season’s co-MVPs, led the way offensively for Champion with three hits, including two doubles, and three RBIs as the Marlins (5-2) moved within two games back of the league-leading Trumbull Merchants.
Knights 8, P.I.&I. Express 1
Andy Todor went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the Knights (3-3), which are tied with Express (2-2) for third place in the standings.
Jeremy Krol, who had 109 strikeouts last season and was the league’s other co-MVP, struck out 13 and gave up just one hit in the seventh inning for the win. He has 24 strikeouts this season.
