Canfield’s Turocy gets honorable mention
COLUMBUS — Canfield senior outfielder Jared Turocy was named honorable mention All-Ohio in Division I by the Ohio Baseball Coaches Association.
Turocy, a University of Akron recruit, joins senior teammate Dan Banna, who was named first team.
Delaware Hayes’ Caleb Wilburn was named the player of the year in Division I, while Brecksville-Broadview Heights’ John Mutch and Strongsville’s Josh Sorge shared coach of the year honors.
In Division II, Walsh Jesuit’s Tyler Skulina was named player of the year, while Sandusky Perkins’ Ray Neill was the coach of the year.
In Division III, Crestview senior infielder Corey Hill was a second team selection.
Hamilton Badin’s Brett McKinney was player of the year, while his coach, Rick Kunkel, was named coach of the year.
In Division IV, Columbiana’s Eric Kissel was named honorable mention.
Toronto’s Mike Radvansky was player of the year, while his coach, Brian Perkins, was named coach of the year.
