Drug paraphernalia, shoplifting: Police arrested a 39-year-old Niles woman at East Main Street and Fairground Boulevard for possession of a silver spoon with suspected heroin residue and for possession of a filet mignon tenderloin valued at $91.07, which the woman admitted she stole from Giant Eagle.
June 1
Bad checks: A woman wrote three bad checks on a closed account at IGA, 8 N. Broad St., for $62.82, $113.90 and $146.14 on May 22, 23 and 24, respectively.

June 1
Drug offense: Police charged a Girard man with drug abuse after finding a pill bottle with the label partially torn off containing three Diazepam pills and six Ecstasy pills in his vehicle at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Burglary: A 26-inch Schwinn bicycle was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Burglary: A gold ring with five diamonds was stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West Apartments.
Theft: A total of $61.01 in gasoline was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A cell phone was taken from a woman’s purse at Cosmo’s, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Idlewood Road and recovered at a home in the 2000 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard.
Theft: Clothing was taken at Dollar General, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.
June 2
Theft: Three CB radios were taken from two trucks at Pandt Leasing, 856 Ohltown Road.
Theft: A picnic table was stolen from the Mahoning County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, 130 Javit Court.
Assault: Two students were reportedly fighting in the cafeteria at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road. A 14-year-old male student and his father came to the police station and reported that another boy had put the son in a head lock and punched him in the right eye. The fight then escalated between the victim and the other student until it was broken up by a guidance counselor and a teacher.
Theft: A man was arrested for theft and released with a summons at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Assault: A suspect threw a cigarette lighter at a pedestrian from a moving vehicle at Mahoning Avenue and state Route 11.
Theft: A boat, trailer and motor were stolen at Uncle Bob’s Self-Storage, 3690 LeHarps Road.
June 3
Criminal damaging: A bedroom window was broken out with a stick at a home in the 300 block of Forest Hill Drive.
Theft: An 11-year-old female was arrested for theft at Wal-Mart.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was scratched and a rear wiper broken off in the driveway of a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road.
Breaking and entering: Entry was gained through the north overhead doors at Lube Stop, 5010 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged in the driveway of a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road.
Theft: A total of $23.01 in gasoline was stolen from the BP gas station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Passing bad checks: A 17-year-old female was arrested for passing bad checks, receiving stolen property and identity theft at First Place Bank, 101 S. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal damaging: A picture window was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Sheffield Road.

Criminal damaging: A windmill was broken in the front yard of a home in the 3000 block of South Turner Road.
Fraud: Unauthorized charges to a checking account were reported at home in the 1000 block of Moorefield Avenue.
June 5
Auto theft: A 1999 Plymouth was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of North Navarre Avenue and later recovered by Youngstown police.
Burglary: A man is a suspect in a burglary at a home in the 70 block of S. Roanoke Avenue.
Criminal damaging: Four tires were slashed on a vehicle at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: Personal checks were stolen from an auto at a home in the 1000 block of North Navarre Avenue.
Criminal damaging: Mercury lights were damaged at Pogany Pavilion, Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken at a home in the 100 block of Howard Street.
Passing bad checks: A man was arrested for passing bad checks.
Criminal damaging: Damage to a vehicle window was reported at a home in the 90 block of North Turner Road.
Disorderly conduct: A man and woman were both issued a summons for a loud stereo in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: A trailer was stolen from a driveway at a home in the 4000 block of Crum Road.

Assault: A 16-year-old female and a 19-year-old male were involved in an altercation at a home in the 200 block of Westminster Avenue.

Theft: A woman was arrested on charges of complicity to theft at Walgreens, 3800 Tippecanoe Road.
Theft: Money was stolen at McDonald’s, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A vehicle, pills, $1 and half a pack of cigarettes were stolen at Sun Merchant, 3605 Merchant Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at home in the 4000 block of Plumbrook Drive.

Criminal damaging: Windows were broken out of a vehicle at a home in the 90 block of Kenmar Court.
Theft: A paycheck, clothing and a CD player were stolen from an auto at a home in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.
Attempted theft: Two men were arrested with warrants on other charges after they attempted to steal razor blades at Walgreens, 5501 Mahoning Ave.
Telephone harassment: A woman is accused of making harassing phone calls to Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive.
Auto theft: A gold 2000 Ford Windstar was stolen from a home in the 2000 block of South Four Mile Run Road.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to a Youngstown man for possession of marijuana at Burkey Road and South Raccoon Road.
Drug offense: Police issued a summons to an Austintown man for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Pembrook Road and Moorefield Avenue.
Drug offense: Police arrested a Youngstown teenage boy for possession of suspected marijuana and a suspected marijuana cigarette at North Meridian Road at Crum Road. The case will be turned over to the county’s juvenile justice center.
