FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Taylor Twellman became the fifth player in MLS history with 100 goals, scoring a pair in the second half to lead the New England Revolution. It was just the second match of the season for Twellman, who had been sidelined with a neck injury. He came on as a reserve to start the second half and didn’t take long to reach the milestone, scoring his first goal of the year in the 57th minute with a header off a cross from Sharlie Joseph to give New England a 3-0 lead.
Earthquakes 2, FC Dallas 2
FRISCO, Texas — Kenny Cooper scored in the 87th minute to help FC Dallas extend its unbeaten streak to four matches. Arturo Alvarez had given last-place San Jose (2-7-3) a 2-1 lead in the 82nd minute after he beat defender Marcelo Saragosa and sent a curling left-footed shot into the top right corner f the net from outside the goalkeeper’s box. Dallas (2-6-4) scored the equalizer 5 minutes later.
