FUNDRAISERS

• AWARE, Mercer County Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, will sponsor a Father’s Day Casino Night June 20 at Tiffany Manor in Brookfield. Doors open at 6 p.m. and there will be games of chance including Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Let It Ride and Big 6 Wheel. There will also be a sports memorabilia raffle, including autographed boxing trunks donated by Kelly “The Ghost” Pavlik. Also available will be a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. • Friends of WomanSafe will have a trash and treasure sale of gently used items at recession prices from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeview Farm, 5488 Kinsman Road, Mesopotamia. Also for sale will be coffee, hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and strawberry shortcake. • Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware, plumbing and lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will have a rummage sale and Chinese auction in the school cafeteria from 5 to 10. p.m. Wednesday and 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, in conjunction with the parish festival. On Sunday, from noon to 10 a.m. the annual half-price sale will take place, and the Chinese auction drawing at 8 p.m. will be followed by a $2-a-bag sale.

• Sts. Peter and Paul Social Hall, 180 Belvedere N.E., Warren, will be the setting Friday and Saturday for a rummage sale to be sponsored by St. Benedict’s Auxiliary. The hours will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will also be a bake sale, and lunch will be available.

• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

SPECIAL EVENTS

• United Quilt Guild will sponsor a quilt show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 26 and 27 at Sebring McKinley High School, 225 E. Indiana Ave., Sebring. On June 26 the featured speaker will be Sue Nickels, internationally known quilter and teacher. There will be demonstrations and refreshments. TRIPS

• Salem St. Paul’s Church is sponsoring a summer day bus trip on July 18 to Williamsport, Pa. The itinerary includes a luncheon cruise on the Susquehanna River aboard a paddlewheel boat, the Hiawatha. After the cruise there will be a tour and wine tasting at the Bastress Mountain Winery; a visit to the Taber Museum featuring collections of model trains and an art gallery; and a guided bus tour of Millionaires Row, which is a string of about 20 mid-19th-century mansions featuring architecture styles including Italian villa, Queen Anne and Gothic revival. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 6:30 a.m. and return around 10:30 p.m. The total cost of $99 is due with reservation by Thursday. Call (330) 337-6204 for more information.
