Wharmby Sports tops Youngstown Express
STRUTHERS — Chris Miller had three hits and scored three times as Wharmby Sports defeated the Youngstown Express 11-0 in the Class B League Sunday.
Ryan Ward won his second game on the year with a one-hitter for Wharmby (8-3).
Tony Koch added two singles and drove home a pair of runs for the winners.
Jordan Senchak had the only hit for the Express (0-10).
Rondinelli Tuxedo wins
STRUTHERS — In the Class B League, Rondinelli used a nineteen-hit attack to defeat Roth Brothers 15-2.
Phil Lipari had four hits while Jason Bagoly and Ed Reese added three each and drove home three runs each for Rondinelli (8-2).
Collen Hinderlite went the distance for his second win on the season.
He struck out five and walked one. Nick Reinthaler hit a solo home run for Roth (6-5).
Astro Falcons rout OTN Performance
STRUTHERS — Ryan Rovnak had three hits as the Astro Falcons defeated OTN Performance 13-3 in the Class B League.
Shane Wagner and Kyle Allen added two hits each while Mark Warchol went five innings for his second win in three decisions.
Warchol had three strikeouts for the Astros (7-3).
Wade Daniels had three hits, one a triple for OTN (7-4).
Evan Bollinger added two hits for the losers.
1080 Media rolls
STRUTHERS — In the Class B League, 1080 Media scored seven times in the sixth inning to put away Livi Steel 11-1 for their seventh win in ten outings.
Evan Campbell had two hits and drove home four runs, while Joe Aulizia, Anthony Raschilla and James Coates had two hits each for the winners.
Brandon Smith allowed only three earned runs in 52‚Ñ3 innings for Livi (3-8).
Ohio Red Bulls
CHARDON — Craig CJ Ladson had a role in three touchdowns to lead the Ohio Red Bulls’ semi-pro football team to a 37-14 win over the Northcoast Vikings Saturday night at Chardon High stadium, in a United States Football Alliance Eastern Conference West Division game.
Ladson scored on runs of 36- and 24-yards and fired a 25-yard scoring pass to Tim Goforth to spark the Red Bulls, who continued on the undefeated trail with their third win.
Sharon Speedway
HARTFORD — Brad Rapp held off the challenges of Rex King, Sr. and Jim Rasey as he captured his first ever Big-Block Modified feature event at the Sharon Speedway.
Dwayne Clay scored his first 2009 victory in E-Mod action and Jim Morris, III capitalized on Brandon Spithaler’s miscue to garner the Limited Sprint feature.
Also, Alan Dellinger captured his third consecutive Pro-Stock main event as Precision Transport and the Globe Restaurant sponsored the Monster Truck “Monster Mash” action.
Kevin Hoffman battled his teammate Rapp for the first five laps of the Modified feature event.

Foreman III on top
KINDER, La. — George Foreman III won in his professional boxing debut, stopping Clyde Weaver at 1:16 of the first round.
Foreman, the 26-year-old son of two-time world heavyweight champion George Foreman, floored Weaver with a left hook to the chin.
At the 1:16 mark, Foreman knocked Weaver down with a left hook to the body.
New York Mini 10K
NEW YORK — Rose Kosgei of Kenya won the 38th New York Mini 10K in Central Park on Sunday, finishing in 32 minutes, 43 seconds to beat Serena Burla of Ellisville, Mo., by 21 seconds.
Hirut Mandefro of Ethiopia was third (33:13) in the women’s-only race, which had 6,100 runners for its biggest field since 1999.
Kosgei pulled away from a three-woman pack in the second mile of the 6.2-mile race, building a 30-second lead at one point.
Burla closed the gap in the final two miles, but was unable to catch Kosgei.
American Olympian Deena Kastor, a pre-race favorite to win her second Mini title, did not race due to inflammation in her big toe.
