1 dead, 1 critical after motorcycle crash in Pa.

DARLINGTON, Pa. — A motorcycle accident killed one person and sent another to the hospital.

Troy Gower, 38, of New Castle, and an unknown female were driving on Taggart Road at 11:30 p.m. Saturday when the driver lost control of the bike, sending it off the side of the road.

Both occupants were thrown from the motorcycle. The female was pronounced dead at the scene, and Gower was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Health Center in Youngstown. He was listed as being in critical condition Sunday night.

Pennsylvania State Highway Patrol Beaver Post said it’s not known who was driving the motorcycle. The accident is under investigation.
