The 63rd Annual Tony Awards (8 p.m., CBS): Will “Billy Elliott” make a grand jete to Broadway glory? The musical, based on a popular movie about a young boy’s passion for ballet, leads all comers with 15 nominations, tying 2001’s “The Producers” for the most-ever nominations. In and around the award presentations will be plenty of eye-boggling entertainment, including performances by Elton John, Dolly Parton, Liza Minnelli, Stockard Channing and the rock group Poison. Neil Patrick Harris serves as our host from the historic Radio City Music Hall.
“Gene Simmons Family Jewels” (9 p.m., A&E): This reality series about the KISS rocker and his dysfunctional brood, launches its fourth season tonight. Yeah, we’re dumbfounded, too.
“The Next Food Network Star” (9 p.m., Food Network): Ten hopefuls want to be the next cooking superstar.
“Army Wives” (10 p.m., Lifetime): It’s time for more drama at Fort Marshall as “Army Wives” opens Season 3. We return to find the gang banding together to support Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney) after her daughter, Emmalin (Katelyn Pippy), disappears just before the family is to ship out overseas.
