Mr., Mrs. Barnes mark anniversary of 1959 wedding

SALEM — Mr. and Mrs. Lee Barnes of Salem are observing the 50th anniversary of their wedding.

The former Joyce Harmon and Mr. Barnes were united in marriage at Berlin Center Methodist Church in 1959. She chose June 4 as her wedding date, making her the third generation in her family to be married on that day.

Their family includes Lori and Robert Koher, Susan and Timothy Hull and Scott and Kim Barnes, all of Salem; and Lisa and Jerry Finney of Canfield, and grandchildren Joshua (Amy), Clayton, Sierra, Brandon and Cheyene.

Mr. Barnes is a retired carpenter.

The couple were honored during a family dinner Saturday at a local restaurant.
