Born: Katherine Marie Borsh was born June 6, 1908, in Hermitage, Pa.

Parents: Hungarian immigrants, Coleman and Elizabeth Soos Borsh.

Siblings: One of seven children, six girls and one boy.

Childhood: lived on a dairy farm, where she and her siblings delivered milk on a horse-drawn milk wagon to neighboring families and businesses.

Schooling: Attended a country school.

Employment: Worked in a laundry in downtown Sharon, Pa.

Married: Joseph Picino June 17, 1931. He died in November of 1977.

Children: Their children and their spouses are Patricia and Eugene Rindy, Thomas and Gloria Picino, and Kathleen and Clyde McCartney.

Grandchildren: Their grandchildren and their spouses are Jill and Michael Marconi, John and Wendy Rindy, Thomas and Tina Picino, and Tracey Picino. Their other granddaughter, the late Gina Hurton, leaves her husband, William Hurton.

Great-grandchildren: Eight.

Affiliations: She is a founding member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Women’s Club and the Women’s Knights of Columbus at St. Bernadette Church.

Celebration: Formerly of McDowell Street in Masury, she is a resident of O’Brien Memorial Health Care Center, where her birthday was celebrated with family members, friends and staff members on Saturday.
