Saturday's Division early state track results

East Palestine's 4x100-meter relay team of Jeff Farkas, Shane Peterson, Dalton Cope and Trevor Patterson won a Division III state title with a time of 43.11 at Saturday's meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

Several Valley athletes earned silver medals, including Mathews senior Mike Davis (100 and 200), Maplewood junior Eric Rupe (1600) and McDonald's 4x400 relay team of Devon Colburn, Adrien Tillery, Nick Accordino and Corey Lunn. Finishing third were Colburn and Warren JFK senior Michael Perisa.

In Division II, Champion junior Andrew Austin (high jump) was second.
