NEW SPRINGFIED — Chad Spencer Manchester and his bride, the former Samantha Rose Scardina, honeymooned at Riviera Maya, Mexico, following their 2:30 p.m. April 18 wedding at New Springfield Church of God and reception at The Links at Firestone Farms, Columbiana.

The Rev. Ralph Edwards officiated for the daughter of Samuel Scardina Jr., 2050 Hemlock Court, Austintown, and Deborah Scardina, 151 Carter Circle, Boardman, and son of Ted and Peggy Manchester, 2593 W. South Range Road, Columbiana.

The groom’s mother made the bride’s white silk gown. It was enhanced with beading and featured lace cap sleeves, an empire waist and a semicathedral train.

Honor attendant, Nicole Tieche, and bridesmaids, Suzanne Scardina, Lisa Kokoski, Kristin McDonald, Sherri Shehan and Jennifer Murphy, wore cornflower blue gowns. In white was the flower girl, Alaina Shehan.

Wayne Greier was best man, and groomsmen were Ryan Zwingler, Trevor Calhoun, Robert Tieche Jr., Scott Shehan and Joseph Murphy. Ring bearer was Robert Tieche III. Also participating were Christine Smith and Sara Greier.

The bride, a licensed practical nurse with Akron Children’s Hospital of Mahoning Valley and a paramedic for Vienna Township Fire Department, is pursuing a degree in nursing at Kent State University, East Liverpool. The groom is a firefighter with the City of Youngstown and a firefighter/paramedic with Brookfield Township. They live at 2216 Canfield Road, Youngstown.
