CANFIELD — Robert and Maria Koby, 6010 Deer Spring Run, announce the engagement of their daughter, Marissa Maria Koby, and Austin James Poe, son of Steve and Dawn Poe, 726 Duff Road, Put-In-Bay.

The couple, both of 1765 Ala Moana Blvd. Ilikai Marina, Honolulu, have planned a wedding to take place by invitation on June 19, 2010, at Mill Creek Park’s Fellows Riverside Gardens, where their reception will follow the ceremony.

The bride-elect graduated from Ohio State University with bachelor’s degrees in elementary and middle childhood education. She attends the University of Hawaii, in Honolulu, studying for a master’s degree in teaching. She is employed by the university as a graduate research assistant for a “No Child Left Behind” government grant.

The prospective groom, also an OSU graduate, earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture. He attends the University of Hawaii, pursuing a doctorate in architecture. He is employed as a design communication teaching assistant at the university.
