BOARDMAN — The Ohio Independent Automobile Dealers Association has elected Thomas Onesti as its president. For the past 22 years, Onesti has owned Tom Onesti’s Car Port, 457 E. Western Reserve Road. He will represent the 5,300 members of the association at the dealers’ national convention in Florida later this month.
BOARDMAN — Diane Theis of Boardman was recognized by Premier Designers as one of its Top 10 trip points earners, which is based on retail sales. She was honored at a three-day conference in Washington, D.C.
NILES — The Auntie Anne’s location in the Eastwood Mall has been given the franchise system’s highest honor, the Pretzel Perfect Store award. Out of 793 domestic locations, only 26 Auntie Anne’s pretzel stores are recognized with this award, which is based on commitment to excellence in all areas of operation. The store is owned by Ed Muransky, and the manager is Debra Barber.
BOARDMAN — The Once Upon A Child store at 7334 Market St. has been recognized by its franchisor as being a Gold Standard operator. The Gold Standard is reached when a store achieves a set of standards set forth by the franchisor. Winmark Corp. is the franchisor for 230 Once Upon a Child locations in North America.
