The Trumbull County African-American Achievers Festival starts at 11 a.m. today in Courthouse Park in the middle of downtown Warren, and runs until 11 p.m. It runs for the same hours Saturday and Sunday. Youngstown’s Total Package Band will entertain Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m.
Victorian Players Theatre will be the location for a production of Moliere’s devastatingly funny comedy “Tartuffe.” Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Call (330) 746-545 for ticket information or reservations.

Artists of the Rust Belt are having a festival on the grounds of B&O Station in downtown Youngstown, with dozens of artists and craftsmen displaying, demonstrating and selling their wares, and a full schedule of live music. There will also be food vendors and, of course, Rust Belt Brewing Co. beer. The event begins at noon Saturday with the music lasting until the wee hours; on Sunday it runs from noon to 9 p.m.
Pride Youngstown will conduct the city’s first gay pride event — a street festival on Phelps Street, downtown — from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday. The street will be blocked off between West Commerce and West Federal streets for the event, which will feature live entertainment.
The Oakland Center for the Arts will have Freakshow!, a fundraiser, at 8 p.m. Saturday. The variety show will include drag performances, comedians, music, a Chinese auction and a glimpse of the Oakland’s production of “Rocky Horror Show.” The theater is at 220 W. The streets of downtown Youngstown will roar with the thunder of motorcycles as Rosetta Stone Caf and Wine Bar sponsors Rally in the Valley. The event is will be from 3 to 9 p.m. and will feature music, fun and games provided by DJ Daniluv. Riders will find discounts on beverages as well as Chef Steve’s famous $1 hot dogs. Proceeds will benefit a number of nonprofit organizations, including Henry H. Stambaugh Association, Make-a-Wish and Fallen Firefighters.
The Frank Gallo Orchestra will give a free concert at Tod Park, which is on Lawrence Avenue in Girard, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Bring a lawn chair.
Celtic Woman, the hit international show, comes to Youngstown’s Covelli Centre at 8 p.m. June 12. Tickets range from $30 to $60 and are available at all Ticketmaster outlets and the arena box office.
